Average HRB 400 rebar price in China down 0.5 percent in late October

In late October (October 21-31) this year, the average price in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate and 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet were recorded at RMB 4,006.7/mt ($604.3/mt), RMB 4,220.2/mt ($636.5/mt), RMB 4,188.5/mt ($631.7/mt) and RMB 4,284.4/mt ($646.2/mt), decreasing by RMB 21.4/mt ($3.2/mt), RMB 31.4/mt ($4.7/mt), RMB 17.3/mt ($2.6/mt) and RMB 28.3/mt ($4.3/mt), down 0.5 percent, 0.7 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.7 percent, respectively, compared to prices in mid-October (October 11-20), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on November 6.

Furthermore, in late October the average prices of 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 5,330.3/mt ($804.0/mt) and RMB 4,408.6/mt ($665.0/mt), up RMB 15.1/mt ($2.3/mt) and RMB 4.7/mt ($0.7/mt), rising by 0.3 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, compared to prices in mid-October (October 11-20).
