In July this year, the output volume of Great Britain's construction industry remained stable month on month and fell by 1.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to a report released by the UK-based Office for National Statistics (ONS). In July, new work was up by 0.5 percent, while repair and maintenance decreased by 1.1 percent, both month on month.
Construction output in Great Britain in the May-July period of this year is estimated to have decreased by 0.7 percent year on year, and was down by 1.2 percent compared to the previous quarter. In the May-July period of this year, new work was down by 1.3 percent, while repair and maintenance recorded a decrease of 0.9 percent, both on quarter-on-quarter basis.
