In April this year, the output volume of Great Britain's construction industry increased 0.5 percent month on month and fell by 3.3 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to a report released by the UK-based Office for National Statistics (ONS). In April, new work was up by 0.7 percent, while repair and maintenance rose by 0.3 percent, both month on month.
Construction output in Great Britain in the February-April period of this year decreased by 3.4 compared to the previous quarter and was down by 3.3 year on year. In the February-April period of this year, new work was down by 3.7 percent, while repair and maintenance recorded a decrease of three percent, both on quarter-on-quarter basis.
