Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending June 7, 2024, the US rotary rig count decreased by six rigs to 594 as compared to the previous week.
The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by two rigs to 98, while the number of rigs drilling for oil went down by four to 492, week on week. The overall US rig count is down by 101 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by 15 week on week to 143 rigs in the week ending June 7. The Canadian rig count is now up by seven rigs compared to the same reporting period in the previous year.
