China’s crude steel production hits 51.75 million mt in October

According to the latest figures released by China's National Bureau of Statistics, the country's crude steel production in October totaled 51.75 million mt, sharply up 42.4 percent year on year. Average daily production during the month reached 1.6694 million mt, slightly down compared with the September level of 1.6904 million mt.

Meanwhile, pig iron production in October stood at 49.28 million mt, up 42.9 percent year on year, while finished steel production came to 62.45 million mt, up 41.6 percent year on year.

In the January-October period, China's crude steel production amounted to 470 million mt, up 10.5 percent compared with the same period last year.
