China's November daily finished steel output up

According to the statistics from China Iron and Steel Association, in November 2005, China produced 29.2135 million metric tons of pig iron, a year-on-year increase of 21.2 percent; the daily output was 973.800 metric tons, up 15.100 metric tons, a month-on-month increase of 1.58 percent. November crude steel output was 30.4776 million metric tons, up 17.4 percent year on year; the daily output was 1.0159 million metric tons, fell 5.600 metric tons, or 0.57 percent month on month. Finished steel output was 33.0577 million metric tons, up 19.6 percent year on year; the daily output was 1.1019 million metric tons, up 34.000 metric tons, or 3.19 percent month on month. In the first eleven months of this year, the total output of pig iron was 298.5124 million metric tons, up 29.4 percent year on year; crude steel output was 317.6528 million metric tons, up 25.5 percent year on year; finished steel output was 335.2472 million metric tons, up 24.6 percent year on year. Broken down by specific category: In November, rebar output was 6.106 million metric tons, up 12.6 percent year on year; the daily output was 203.500 metric tons, up 10.800 metric tons, or 5.6 percent month on month. Wire rod output was 5.3896 million metric tons, up 16.7 percent year; the daily output was 179.700 metric tons, up 5.100 metric tons, or 2.94 percent month on month. Medium plate output was 1.5403 million metric tons, up 8.3 percent year on year; the daily output was 51.300 metric tons, fell 2.200 metric tons, or 4.11 percent month on month. Medium thick and wide steel strip output was 3.2039 million metric tons, up 32.2 percent year on year; the daily output was 106.800 metric tons, fell 900 metric tons, or 0.86 percent compared to the previous month. Cold rolled sheet output was 727.900 metric tons, up 18 percent year on year; cold rolled thin and wide strip output was 589.800 metric tons, up 15.8 percent year on year; hot rolled sheet output was 216.800 metric tons, fell 23.6 percent year on year; hot rolled thin and wide strip output was 1.0278 million metric tons, up 24.6 percent year on year. From the November output figures, compared to the previous week, the growth rate of galvanized sheet, extremely heavy plate, color coated plate, heavy sheet, electric sheet, medium thick and wide steel strip and seamless steel pipe/tube was over 30 percent.
