The Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) in Mexico increased 13.6 percent, year-over-year, in September, the ninth consecutive annual increase, according to SteelOrbis analysis of data from the national statistics agency Inegi.
In September, the CCI was 46.38 points, 0.3 points less than the previous month and 5.6 points more than the same month last year.
Of the top five survey questions, all were positive. The question—How do you consider the current economic situation of the country, compared to 12 months ago?—saw an increase of 22.0 percent, the largest increase in the last 21 months, only surpassed by the 31.2 percent registered in December 2021.
