The European Commission (EC) has announced that it has repealed the definitive antidumping duty (AD) imposed on imports of certain iron or steel fasteners originating in China.
EC imposed the definitive antidumping duty on imports of certain iron or steel fasteners imported from China in 2009. However, in 2013, China stated that the measure taken by the European Union to implement the original reports was inconsistent with various provisions of the antidumping agreement, and therefore China requested the establishment of a panel. And in view of the findings, the commission decided to repeal the mentioned antidumping duties imposed.
According to the EC’s statement, the repeal of the antidumping duties shall not serve as a basis for the reimbursement of the duties collected prior to that date.
