European commercial vehicle registrations up six percent in September

In September this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) increased by six percent year on year to 220,781 units, rising for the twenty-first consecutive month on year-on-year basis, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA). 
 
In September of the current year, growth continued to be driven by the Italian (+46.3%) and Spanish (+14.1%) markets, while France (-1.1%) and the United Kingdom (-0.9%) performed less well than in September 2015.
 
In the first nine months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled about 1.7 million units, up 13.1 percent on year-on-year basis. Italy (+40.2 percent), Spain (+13.1 percent), Germany (+11.3 percent), France (+10.1 percent) and the UK (+2.0 percent) recorded increases, all year on year.
