In January this year, the price, calendar and seasonally adjusted industrial production in Germany increased by 0.3 percent compared to the previous month, according to the preliminary data released by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
According to the ministry's report, production increased by 4.4 percent in the construction sector in January, while intermediate goods manufacturers increased their production by 0.2 percent, output of consumer goods decreased by 1.2 percent and output of capital goods moved down by 0.8 percent, all compared to the previous month.
