Germany's passenger car output up 14.4 percent in January over December

In January this year, new passenger car registrations in the German market totaled 218,400 units, down 11.7 percent month on month and increasing by 3.3 percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). 
 
According to the VDA, in January 413,800 passenger cars rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month growth of 14.4 percent and a year-on-year decline of two percent.
 
In January of the current year, a total of 313,600 passenger cars were exported from Germany, up by 12.5 percent month on month and decreasing by six percent compared to January 2015.
