Jafari Steel Group to commission mini-mill with 450,000 mt yearly capacity

Iranian steelmaker Jafari Steel Group is to commission its new mini-mill, which has a designed annual capacity of 450,000 mt of wire rods, sections and rebars, in the next two months. The mini-mill in question comprises a meltshop equipped with an electric arc furnace and a rolling mill for the production of long products. The new mini-mill is located near the Malayer-Arak highway in western Iran.

At present Jafari Steel Group consists of several rolling mills and one billet producing plant Malayer Alloy Steel which has an annual capacity of 100,000 mt.
