Kazakhstan issues 2010 production results

According to the data released by the Republic of Kazakhstan's Agency of Statistics, in 2010 Kazakhstan registered a 2.6 percent increase year on year in its crude steel production but a 3.1 percent year-on-year decrease in its production of flat rolled steel, to 4.26 million mt and 2.89 million mt respectively. Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's tinplate production for the given year amounted to 194,090 mt - down 3.5 percent, while its galvanized steel output came to 576,000 mt - down 0.9 percent, both compared to 2009
 
In 2010, Kazakhstan's output of ferroalloys increased by 18.3 percent year on year to 1.74 million mt, while its iron ore pellet production went up by 29.7 percent to 8.02 million mt, both compared to the same period last year. The country's coal output in 2010 increased by nine percent year on year to 110.8 million mt, while its coke output went down 1.3 percent year on year to 2.68 million mt.
