Kazakhstan issues January-October production results

According to the data released by the Republic of Kazakhstan's Agency of Statistics, in the first 10 months of this year the country registered a 4.2 percent increase year on year in its crude steel production but a 5.5 percent year-on-year decrease in its production of flat rolled steel, to about 3.56 million mt and 2.4 million mt respectively. Meanwhile, the country's tinplate production for the given period amounted to 170,128 mt - up 1.7 percent, and its galvanized steel output amounted to 492,332 mt - up 2.4 percent, both compared to January-October 2009
 
In January-October this year, Kazakhstan's output of ferroalloys increased by 22.8 percent year on year to 1.44 million mt, while its iron ore pellet production went up by 42.6 percent to 6.6 million mt, both compared to the same period last year. The country's coal output during the first 10 months of this year increased by 10.8 percent year on year to 88.2 million mt, while its coke output went down 2.2 percent year on year to 2.2 million mt.
