MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 0.9 percent

On January 20, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (January 12-18) the overall average finished steel price in China declined by 0.9 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of common medium steel plate and common hot rolled steel sheet in China declined by 1.5 percent and 1.3 percent week on week, respectively.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 4.6 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) increased by 5.3 percent week on week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of both anthracite coal and coking coal declined by 0.2 percent, while the average prices of thermal coal remained stable, all week on week.
