MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.1 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (September 11-17) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of seamless steel pipe, steel channel and common steel round bar in China rose by 0.9 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent, while rebar prices declined by 0.3 percent, respectively, all week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 1.5 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 5.0 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China rose by 0.3 percent week on week. In particular, prices of coking coal, anthracite coal and thermal coal increased by 0.8 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.2 percent, all compared to the previous week.
