SHFE developing ferrochrome and CRC futures

Jiang Yan, chairman of the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), has stated that the SHFE will speed up the supply of steel products futures in accordance with the unified deployment policy of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC).

According to Mr. Jiang, the SHFE is developing ferrochrome and cold rolled sheet futures as ferrochrome is an important raw material to produce stainless steel and cold rolled sheet is a key raw material for the medium and high-end manufacturing industry.

The SHFE aims to optimize product structure and provide the relevant industrial chain enterprises with price risk management tools in the steel industry, he stated.
