Huntington, West Virginia-based subsidiary of Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI), Steel of West Virginia, plans to invest $15.1 million in its Huntington facility in 2011. This year's investment follows the $10 million investment Steel of West Virginia made in 2010.

Steel of West Virginia is a mini-mill with two 70-ton electric arc furnaces that produces billets. The facility also manufactures various merchant bars and wide flange beams, as well has extensive fabricating lines.

The $15.1 million investment is expected to be primarily used to upgrade Steel of West Virginia's No.2 rolling mill.
