Two steel projects to be commissioned in Jiangyin, Jiangsu in H1 2013

Two new steel projects in the city of Jiangyin in China's Jiangsu Province are due to be commissioned in the first half of 2013, as reported by local newspaper Jiangyin Steel.  
 
In February this year, Xingcheng Special Steel Co. started construction work on a new alloy steel production project. With a planned annual output capacity of 200,000 mt of products including steel cord and alloy spring steel wire, the project is scheduled to be commissioned in June 2013. Investment will total $200 million.
 
In April of the current year, Jiangyin Zongcheng Steel Co. began construction work on a new galvanizing line with a planned annual output capacity of 300,000 mt. The investment in the galvanizing facility is expected to reach $100 million. Commissioning is expected to take place within the first half of 2013.
