US rig count remains the same week-on-week and Canadian rig count decreases

Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending on December 27, 2024, the US rotary rig count remained unchanged at 589.

The number of rigs drilling for gas remains the same at 102 and the number of rigs drilling for oil remained at 487. The overall US rig count is down by 33 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.

Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count decreased by seventy one to 95 rigs in the week ending December 27. The Canadian rig count was up by 9 compared to the same reporting period in the previous year.
