The reference price of hot dipped galvanized products (HDG), for export from Brazil to South American countries is $1,100/mt today, stable from four weeks ago, CFR conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75 mm thickness product as reference.
In December, Brazil exported 11,100 mt and imported 57,100 mt of HDG. The destinations of the exports in November were South American countries (6,400 mt at $1,718/mt) and the US (4,700 mt at $900/mt) FOB conditions.
The exporters were Usiminas (8,800 mt at $1,463/mt), and CSN (1,600 mt at $855/mt) and ArcelorMittal (700 mt at $1,475/mt), FOB conditions.
The imports were from Asia (56,400 mt, of which 51,700 mt at $725/mt from China), and Europe (700 mt at $1,385/mt), also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, to end users or distributors, at BRL 6,500/mt ($1,316/mt), also stable from four weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
