Over the past month, Bulgarian domestic longs prices have mostly declined by BGN 10-40/mt (€5-20/mt) due to sluggish demand. Sources report stock levels are moderate, but demand is sluggish due to the adverse weather conditions.

In the import segment, ex-Turkey rebar and wire rod offers are available at $615-620/mt FOB and $630-635/mt FOB for February shipment, versus $600-610/mt FOB and $620-630/mt FOB last month, respectively. The average freight rate is around $15/mt (€14/mt) from Turkey to Bulgaria.

A few Turkish merchant bar re-rollers were offering at $675-705/mt (€623-650/mt) CFR Bulgaria last week. The price levels were at $696-729/mt (€634-664/mt) CFR Bulgaria last month.
