Over the past month, local Bulgarian longs prices have mostly risen by BGN 20-30/mt (€10-15/mt), while merchant bar and beam prices have fallen by BGN 20-50/mt (€10-26/mt). Local Bulgarian longs demand is reported to be relatively low, while stocks are at medium levels.
In the import segment, ex-Turkey rebar and wire rod offers are at $560/mt FOB and $575-580/mt FOB respectively, versus $570-580/mt FOB and $590/mt FOB a month ago, which equals to around $575/mt and $590-595/mt CFR Bulgaria. The average freight is around $15/mt (€14/mt) for Turkey.
In addition, ex-Turkey merchant bar offers are at around $645-670/mt (€613-636/mt) CFR Bulgaria, versus $640-670/mt (€600-628/mt) CFR Bulgaria last month.
In the beam segment, ex-Turkey beam prices are at $779/mt (€740/mt) CFR Bulgaria and ex-Spain material is available at €740-780/mt CIF. Ex-Romania beam prices are standing at €740/mt CPT, down €10/mt over the past month. Moreover, beams from Poland are available at €730-750/mt, versus €820/mt CPT a month ago.
In the export market, Bulgaria’s export rebar offers are standing at €610-620/mt CPT to Romania.
