Argentina’s auto output up 120.6 percent in February from January

Argentina’s auto production in February this year totaled 32,662 units, increasing by 120.6 percent month on month and falling by 16.4 percent year on year, as announced by the country’s automotive industry association Adefa.

According to Adefa, Argentinian auto exports increased by 162.5 percent in February compared to the previous month and were up by one percent compared to February last year to 19,431 units. Meanwhile, car sales to dealers in February totaled 30,404 units, increasing by 1.2 percent month on month and falling by 58.8 percent year on year.

The nation’s automotive industry produced 47,465 units in the January-February period of this year, 22.1 percent less year on year. In the same period, exports rose to 26,834 units, down 9.5 percent year on year.
