Argentina’s auto output up 26.4 percent in February from January

Argentina’s auto production in February this year totaled 26,133 units, increasing by 26.4 percent month on month and falling by 20 percent year on year, as announced by the country’s automotive industry association Adefa.

According to Adefa, Argentinian auto exports increased by 108.4 percent in February compared to the previous month and were down by 6.8 percent compared to February last year to 18,115 units. Meanwhile, car sales to dealers in February totaled 27,191 units, increasing by 5.7 percent month on month and declining by 10.6 percent year on year.

The nation’s automotive industry produced 46,816 units in the January-February period of this year, 1.4 percent less year on year. In the same period, exports rose to 26,806 units, down 0.1 percent year on year.
