Brazil's iron ore export volume amounted to 37.2 million mt in October this year, increasing 5.5 percent compared to the same month of 2017, according to the information released by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade. Brazil's iron ore exports in October totaled $2.07 billion in value, increasing 5.1 percent year on year.
In October, Brazil's export volume of semi-finished products of iron and steel amounted to 1.42 billion mt, up by 39.09 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, while these exports were valued at $827.78 million, increasing by 84.2 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in October Brazil's flat steel exports totaled 222,842 metric tons, down by 36.8 percent year on year. The revenue generated by these exports totaled $176.571 million, down 23.8 percent from the October 2017 level.
