China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that it will raise antidumping (AD) duties on certain alloy-steel seamless tubes and pipes for high-temperature and high-pressure application imported from the US and the EU.

Accordingly, the tariff rate on the tubes and pipes in question from US-based Wyman-Gordon Forgings, Inc. will be at 101.0 percent, while the rate on the pipes from other US companies will be at 147.8 percent.

Moreover, the tariff rate on the tubes and pipes in question from EU-based Vallourec Deutschl and GmbH and Vallourec Tubes France will be at 57.9 percent, while from IBF S.P.A. of Italy and other companies in the EU will be subject to a rate of 60.8 percent.

The decision to extend and raise the antidumping tariff follows a request from the Chinese domestic steel tubes and pipes sector, the MOC indicated.

Accordingly, the HS codes for the tubes and pipes in question are 73045110, 73045190, 73045910 and 73045990.
