China’s passenger car output and sales improve in 2012

In December 2012, the total passenger car output in China amounted to 1,442,300 units, up 0.72 percent compared to the previous month and increasing by 5.72 percent year on year, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). Meanwhile, China's passenger car sales in the given month totaled 1,462,900 units, increasing by 0.11 percent month on month and up 6.87 percent compared to the same month of 2011.
 
In 2012, total passenger car output in China amounted to 15,523,700 units, up 7.17 percent, while China's passenger car sales in the given year totaled 15,495,200 units, up 7.07 percent, both year on year.
