Exports of heavy plates from Brazil remain in downtrend

Brazil exported 4,500 mt of heavy plates in November against 9,500 mt in October and 12,200 mt in September.

In November, Usiminas shipped 4,000 mt mt of heavy plates on average at $1,043/mt, Gerdau shipped 200 mt at $758/mt, traders shipped 100 mt at $1,013/mt, and ArcelorMittal shipped 100 mt at $648/mt, all FOB conditions. 

The destinations of the exports were South American countries (4,400 mt at $1,027/mt) and Trinidad and Tobago (100 mt at $775/mt).

Meanwhile, Brazil imported 2,600 mt of heavy plates in November against 400 mt of heavy plates in October. 

The imports in October were from China (2,500 mt at $856/mt) and Europe (100 mt at $1,912/mt), also FOB conditions.
