German industrial output up 1.4 percent in September over August

In September this year, the price, calendar and seasonally adjusted industrial production in Germany increased by 1.4 percent compared to the previous month, according to the preliminary data released by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

According to the ministry's report, production decreased by 1.2 percent in the construction sector in September, while intermediate goods manufacturers saw their production decline by 0.2 percent, output of consumer goods fell by 1.4 percent and output of capital goods moved up by 4.5 percent, all compared to the previous month.
