Handan Steel to commission hot rolled cross-cutting line No. 2

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Handan Iron and Steel Co., a subsidiary of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has announced that it is about to commission its hot rolled cross-cutting line No. 2 at its hot rolling plant.
 
According to Handan Steel, the line in question is the first domestically-produced hot rolled cross-cutting line in China. It can be used for uncoiling, straightening, trimming and cross-cutting.
 
The line is expected to have an annual processing capacity of 450,000 mt of steel plate, covering thicknesses of 5.0-25.4 mm, widths of 880-2,130 mm, and lengths of 2,000-16,000 mm. The steel products processed will include high quality carbon structural steel, low alloy structural steel, ship steel plate, pressure vessel steel, pipeline steel and automobile steel plate.
