Turkey’s welded tube exports down 11.8% in Jan-Sept

In September this year, Turkey’s total welded tube exports rose by 56.0 percent month on month and by 8.2 percent year on year to 217,714 mt, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $209.87 million, up by 39.8 percent month on month and down by 3.1 percent from September 2022.

In the January-September period this year, Turkey’s welded tube exports amounted to 1.38 million mt, down 11.8 percent, while the value of these exports fell by 22.7 percent to $1.42 billion, both compared to the same period of 2022.

In the given period, Turkey’s largest welded tube export destination was Romania which received 229,060 mt, up 1.5 percent year on year. Romania was followed by Morocco with 143,137 mt, up 776.7 percent, and the UK with 120,116 mt, down 24.0 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
