US standard pipe imports up 10.7 percent in October from September

According to final census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of standard pipe totaled 61,644 mt in October this year, up 10.7 percent from September and down 12.6 percent year on year. By value, standard pipe imports totaled $71.6 million in October, compared to $65.1 million in September and $80.7 million in October last year.

The US imported the most standard pipe from Canada in October with 13,522 mt, compared to 111,767 mt in September and 13,537 mt in October last year. Other top sources of imported standard pipe in October include the UAE with 13,973 mt, Mexico with 7,156 mt, Thailand with 5,237 mt, and Turkey with 5,039 mt.
