Turkish construction turnover index up 10.8 percent in Q2 from Q1

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) has released the domestic construction sector indicators for the second quarter of this year.
 
The turnover index in the domestic construction sector in the second quarter of this year increased by 10.8 percent from the previous quarter and rose by 25.3 percent compared to the same quarter of 2015.
 
Accordingly, in the second quarter of this year the production index in Turkey's domestic construction sector increased by 6.2 percent year on year, reaching 146.6 points, while the production index in building construction was up 6.1 percent year on year to 152.8 points. Meanwhile, in the given quarter, the production index in Turkey's civil engineering sector was recorded at 126.2 points, increasing by seven percent year on year.
