UK basic metal output index up 1.7 percent in Feb over Jan

According to a report released by the UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS), in February this year the UK's seasonally adjusted production index of manufacturing fell by 1.4 percent compared with February 2012  and was up by 0.8 percent compared to the previous month, following a month-on-month decrease of 1.8 percent recorded in January.

Meanwhile, in the UK the seasonally adjusted production index of basic metal and metal products rose by 0.3 percent in February compared to February 2012 and was up 1.7 percent compared to the previous month, following a revised month-on-month rise of 1.2 percent in January.
