CAAM: China’s passenger vehicle output down 3.4 percent in Jan-Nov

In November this year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 2.123 million units and 2.173 million units, decreasing by 20.5 percent and 16.1 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). In the January-November period of the current year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China totaled 21.474 million units and 21.478 million units, decreasing by 3.4 percent and 2.8 percent year on year.

As for commercial vehicles, the output and sales volumes in November amounted to 375,000 units and 374,000 units, decreasing by 8.7 percent and up 1.7 percent year on year, respectively. In the January-November period of the current year, output and sales of commercial vehicles in China totaled 3.851 million units and 3.941 million units, rising by 2.0 percent and 5.0 percent year on year, respectively.
