France's steel product export value down 3.75 percent in January-August

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-August period this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €6.04 billion, decreasing by 3.75 percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France exported €1.43 billion of steel pipes and tubes - up 6.8 percent, €325.06 million of cold rolled steel strip - down 1.22 percent, €244.7 million of cold drawn wire - decreasing by 1.5 percent, €215.2 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 0.5 percent, and €511.2 million of metal structures and parts - rising by 9.4 percent, all compared to the same period of 2014.
