According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-September period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €5.94 billion, decreasing by 4.24 percent year on year.
During the period in question, France imported €1.5 billion of steel pipes and tubes - up 26.86 percent, €398.88 million of cold rolled steel strip - decreasing by 12.15 percent, €260.27 million of cold drawn wire, remaining unchanged, €279.76 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 3.4 percent, and €1.02 billion of metal structures and parts - declining by 6.23 percent, all compared to the January-September period of 2014.
