France's steel product import value down five percent in Jan-Oct

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-October period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €6.6 billion, decreasing by five percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France imported €1.7 billion of steel pipes and tubes - up 28 percent, €443.2 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 13 percent, €291.6 million of cold drawn wire - remaining almost unchanged, €309.44 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 4.3 percent, and €1.15 billion of metal structures and parts - declining by 6.22 percent, all compared to the January-October period of 2014.
