On November 28, Hebei Province-based Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel) announced the following ex-works prices, effective from November 28 to December 7:
1. Wire rod prices are unchanged from the levels issued ten days previous. For common carbon high speed wire rod, the price of 6.5 mm Q235 is now at RMB 3,530/mt ($516/mt).
2. Rebar prices have decreased by RMB 80/mt ($11/mt), and so the price of 16-25 mm HRB 335 is now at RMB 3,680/mt ($538/mt).
3. Round bar prices have fallen by RMB 80/mt ($11/mt). Thus, the price of 16-25mm Q235 is at RMB 3,720/mt ($544).
3. Common carbon plate prices are unchanged, and so the prices of 14-25 mm Q235B still stand at RMB 3,400/mt ($497/mt).
4. Angle prices have decreased by RMB 80/mt ($11/mt). Thus, the new price of #7-9 Q235 is RMB 3,500/mt ($512/mt).
5. Channel prices have remained the same, with the price of #8-10 Q235 still at RMB 3,530/mt ($516/mt)
Also on November 28, Hansteel announced the following ex-works prices of its main flat rolled products, effective for the whole month of December:
1. HR prices have decreased by RMB 150/mt ($21/mt) from November levels. As a result, the new price of 2.75 mm Q235 is at RMB 3,540/mt ($518/mt), while the price of 5.5 mm Q235 is at RMB 3,350/mt ($490/mt).
2. CR prices have decreased by RMB 300/mt ($43/mt) from November levels, and so the price of 1.0 mm SPCC is now at RMB 4,000/mt ($585/mt).
3. Cold rolled Full Hard prices have decreased by RMB 300/mt ($43/mt). Thus, the new price of 1.0 mm SPCC is at RMB 3,600/mt ($527/mt).
4. P&O prices have decreased by RMB 500/mt ($73/mt), with the new price of 3.0 mm SPHC at RMB 3,550/mt ($519/mt).
5. PPGI prices have decreased by RMB 1,250/mt ($183/mt). Following the adjustment, the new price of 0.5 mm CGCC stands at RMB 4,950/mt ($724/mt).
6. HDG prices have been reduced by RMB 650/mt ($95/mt), and so the new price of 1.0 mm SGCC is at RMB 4,050/mt ($592/mt).
7. HGI prices are down by RMB 500/mt ($73/mt), with the new price of 1.0 mm SGH340 at RMB 4,700/mt ($688/mt).
All the prices above include 17 percent VAT.
