Baosteel Group signs cooperation agreement with CSSC

Chinese steel giant Baosteel has lately signed a cooperation agreement with China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC).

Baosteel's 5000 plate mill was put into operation in 2005, and soon supplied 61,000 mt of ship plates to CSSC in the year in question. In addition, Baosteel also began to supply plate to the Waigaoqiao shipyard belonging to CSSC. In 2006, Baosteel supplied 342,000 mt of ship plates to CSSC, with its ship plate supply volume to CSSC reaching 2 million mt last year.
