In the January-June period this year, production and sales of automotive vehicles in China amounted to 13.248 million units and 13.239 million units, increasing by 9.3 percent and 9.8 percent year on year, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the first six months, production and sales of new energy vehicles (NEV) totaled 3.788 million units and 3.747 million units, up 42.4 percent and 44.1 percent year on year, with the market share reaching 28.3 percent in the given period.
In the January-June period this year, production and sales of passenger vehicles reached 11.281 million units and 11.268 million units, up 8.1 percent and 8.8 percent year on year.
In the January-June period this year, production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 1.967 million units and 1.971 million units, up 16.9 percent and 15.8 percent year on year.
In the first six months this year, China’s vehicle exports volume totaled 2.14 million units, up 75.7 percent year on year.
In June, production and sales of automotive vehicles in China totaled 2.561 million units and 2.622 million units, up 9.8 percent and 10.1 percent month on month, while up 2.5 percent and 4.8 percent year on year, respectively.
In June alone, production and sales of passenger vehicles totaled 2.219 million units and 2.268 million units, up 10.4 percent and 10.6 percent month on month, while down 0.9 percent and 2.1 percent year on year, respectively.
In June alone, production and sales of commercial vehicles totaled 342,000 units and 355,000 units, up 6.3 percent and 7.3 percent month on month, while up 31.3 percent and 26.3 percent year on year, respectively.
In the given month, production and sales of new energy vehicles (NEV) amounted to 784,000 units and 806,000 units, up 9.96 percent and 12.5 percent month on month, while up 32.8 percent and 35.2 percent year on year, with the market share reaching 30.7 percent in the given month.
In addition, in June, China’s vehicle exports volume amounted to 382,000 units, down 1.7 percent month on month, while up 53.2 percent year on year, including 78,000 units of NEV, down 28.4 percent month on month, while up 1.7-fold year on year.
As for the second half of the current year, the demand for NEV may remain good, while exports of vehicle may improve, which will exert a positive impact on the overall vehicle market.
