CAAM: China’s passenger vehicle output up 7.3 percent in H1

In June this year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China amounted to 1.772 million units and 1.784 million units, remaining stable and down 0.5 percent month on month, while rising by 11.4 percent and 17.7 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). In the first half of the current year, the output and sales volumes of passenger vehicles in China totaled 11.099 million units and 11.042 million units, up 7.3 percent and 9.2 percent year on year, respectively.
 
As for commercial vehicles, domestic output and sales volumes in June amounted to 276,000 units and 287,000 units, down 5.6 percent and 4.0 percent month on month, while increasing by 5.0 percent and down 1.7 percent year on year, respectively. In the first half of the current year, domestic output and sales of commercial vehicles totaled 1.793 million units and 1.787 million units, up 1.5 percent and 1.9 percent year on year, respectively.
