China’s new energy vehicle output up 125 percent in H1

In June this year, China produced 45,000 new energy vehicles, up 107.4 percent year on year, including 35,000 pure electric passenger cars and 10,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 126.1 percent and 61.3 percent year on year, respectively, according to latest data issued by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

In the first half of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 177,000 units, up 125.0 percent on year-on-year basis, including 134,000 pure electric passenger cars and 43,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, rising by 160.8 percent and 57.1 percent year on year, respectively.
