China’s steel sheet and plate exports up 40.6 percent in 2023

China’s steel sheet/plate exports totaled 59.63 million mt in 2023, up 40.6 percent year on year, according to the Chinese customs authorities.

In December alone, China exported 5.26 million mt of steel sheet/plate, up 61.2 percent year on year, while down 3.7 percent month on month.
