Exports of heavy plates from Brazil increase in September

Brazil exported 12,200 mt of heavy plates in September against 3,900 mt August.

In September, Gerdau shipped 10,700 mt of heavy plates at $800/mt to Argentina, while Usiminas shipped 1,000 mt at $891/mt to the US and 500 mt at $1,041/mt to Argentina, all FOB conditions.

Meanwhile, Brazil imported 2,000 mt of heavy plates in September against 2,200 mt in August. 

The imports were from China (1,700 mt at $636/mt) and Europe (300 mt at $2,061/mt), also FOB conditions.
