France's steel product import value down 4.2 percent in 2015

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in 2015, France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €7.72 billion, decreasing by 4.2 percent year on year.
 
During the year in question, France imported €1.99 billion of steel pipes and tubes - up 27.6 percent, €524.04 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 10.71 percent, €344.71 million of cold drawn wire - increasing by 1.6 percent, €360.94 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 3.4 percent, and €1.35 billion of metal structures and parts - declining by 4.93 percent, all compared to 2014.
