France's steel product export value down 31.9 percent in Jan-May

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-May period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €2.97 billion, decreasing by 31.9 percent year on year.

In the given period, France exported €477.49 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 33.4 percent, €137.33 million of cold rolled steel bars - declining by 30.4 percent, €202.8 million of cold rolled steel strip - down 23.5 percent, €90.76 million of cold drawn wire - decreasing by 37.7 percent, and €224.35 million of metal structures and parts - falling by 22.8 percent, all compared to the same period in 2019.
