France's steel product import value down 15.5 percent in Jan-Feb

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-February period this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €1.39 billion, decreasing by 15.5 percent year on year.

In the given period, France imported €340.88 million of steel pipes and tubes - up four percent, €69.31 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 21.9 percent, €120.4 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 2.9 percent, €70.23 million of cold drawn wire - declining by 4.6 percent, and €271.38 million of metal structures and parts - decreasing by 9.3 percent, all compared to the same period in 2019.
