China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (March 21-27) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 1.1 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar and hot dip galvanized (HDG) in China moved up by 1.4 percent, 1.3 percent and 1.2 percent week on week, respectively.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.4 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) declined by 0.6 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of anthracite coal and coking coal decreased by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent week on week, respectively, while the average price of thermal coal remained stable week on week.
